The new JEB Group space in Sydney is open for business and looking incredible! Housed in a heritage-listed building in Surry Hills, the space is a tribute to the design ethos of JEB.
This is a special guest editorial from Tim Burndred, General Manager of JEB Australia
With 20 years of diverse experience in office partitions & commercial furniture solutions, JEB Group has recently established our first Australian showroom in the design hub of Sydney’s Surry Hills. While Australia is already one of the world’s leaders in workplace design and innovation, JEB seeks to bridge a market gap by providing products available to market that has been lacking for some time.
As a dealer of some of the world’s best furniture brands, the new showroom in Sydney will showcase its high quality acoustic partitions and doors, the world’s most refined operable walls along with a balanced range of commercial furniture, including workstations, task chairs & loose furniture.
JEB’s desire for the Australian market is to act more as a consultant to the A&D market than just your typical supplier – by providing expert advice, written specifications, detail drawings and cost planning, we go beyond the norm.
Over the past generation, the office design market has shifted towards agility-based or agile working design, and most recently, co-working spaces. With that in mind, JEB predicts that commercial furniture will continue to move further towards bespoke solutions being adopted for individual project needs. This reflects the JEB mantra that each and every project requires the same level of attention to detailing, whether we’re talking a large or small project. Our partner suppliers carry the same philosophy and support us by offering custom finishes, sizes and detailing.
This collaboration provides the core elements for the A&D market to create their own style by offering a host of core materials to work with. It is through understanding the theme and motif for each client and assisting them to develop further – hence a unique style is born.
In a recent project, JEB has partnered with renowned Australian designer Chris Hardy and developed a range of meeting tables specific for a Sydney client. The result is JEB’s ‘Obelus’ range of solid oak meeting tables designed, manufactured and delivered in 8 weeks.
By allowing our clients to have the freedom of design, we now have this range available on a 6-week lead time, designed and manufactured in Australia. Obelus has also expanded into a workstation system with uniformed design detailing, sitting hand in hand with the range of high quality international furniture brands such as Koleksiyon, Sedus, Dum and Reddie.
This serves as a testament of how we at JEB partner with Australian clientele and designers, and how a beautiful and practical range of products, designed & manufactured in Australia, serves the Australian market.
In order to fully understand what JEB has to offer the Australian designer market, be sure to book your visit to our showroom in Surry Hills!
