Woven Image has launched two new indoor-outdoor high performance textiles.
March 1st, 2010
Co-ordinating designs, Quill and Arrow are woven in a premium interior-exterior yarn which results in longevity, easy care, high performance textiles without compromising on contemporary design, handle and price.
Both are solution dyed, meaning colour is applied to the liquid polymer before it is extruded into yarn. This method of production ensures technical quality to deliver a high performing textile with superior colour fastness, resistance to sunlight, water and chlorine making them easy care and ideal for indoor-outdoor furniture and the corporate and hospitality markets.
Solution dyed textiles are optimal for environmental reasons as they allow for reduced water usage and emissions compared to conventional dyeing processes.
Quill and Arrow are also produced using certified green energy (100 per cent renewable resources) while the yarn holds an Oeko-Tex certification.
The two-colour, small scale Quill design evokes nature with its abstract filled-in leaf motif woven which is reflected in left and right directions. The textile is available in five, fresh, contemporary colourways from warm ochre to a striking black and white combination.
Alternatively, Arrow was designed with the same leaf concept as Quill except that it exemplifies an upscaled keyline motif and is offered in five co-ordinating colours to Quill to provide a contemporary collection for indoor-outdoor application.
To complement the new Arrow and Quill range Woven Image is releasing KnollTextiles Vibe their bestselling plain, polyurethane upholstery.
Designed for upholstery application, Vibe is Green Guard certified and offered in 27 vivid, new colours. It is a textured, lightweight, tactile fabric imbued with the performance benefits of vinyl.
Arrow, Quill and Vibe can be combined to create an attractive and contemporary combination as evidenced in the newly released Schamburg + Alvisse Pebble ottomans.
Also inspired by nature with a shape inspired by worn river stones, Schamburg + Alvisse have produced pebble as a versatile, economical and environmental solution for informal break-out seating in corporate and hospitality environments.
The use of contrasting fabric panels, Vibe-top and Arrow and Quill sides have been incorporated to add a colourful and contemporary dynamic.
