Harry the hirer’s custom build department has advanced to become a key player in the high stakes of activations inside premier spaces in the retail, design, entertainment, event and architecture worlds.
Harry the hirer is design led and creative, specialising in major events, activations, parties, furniture and marquee hire. Within HTH the custom team are inspired by international and local trends, always expressing ideas through quality projects, they have forged their own strong identity.
The customs team at HTH work collaboratively with external agencies to stay on top of an ever-changing landscape, interpreting and adapting to global trends.
Although recognised for their work inside Australia’s largest events such as Melbourne Cup Carnival, Formula 1 Grand Prix and the Australian Open, the HTH custom team set their sights on a world less dependent on sponsors and partners, and has become a versatile, innovative, design and build service that is available all year round.
Their team comprise project managers, industrial designers, 3D visualisation and rendering experts and detailed draftsmen.
In the HTH spacious workshop in Melbourne’s west, the custom team sees 25 full time cabinetmakers and carpenters working with CNC routers, automotive spray booths and metal fabrication facilities to serve activations from bespoke to major. Incorporating services such as technical signage, manufacturing and, joinery; positioning HTH as the one stop shop for event and activation projects.
Throughout the last year alone, the custom team at HTH have worked with brands including Chanel, Dior, Samsung and G.H. Mumm to create striking boutiques and semi-permanent displays – a testament to the service and quality provided by the team of these dedicated professionals. Their experience within the high stakes game of event construction and fit out has forced them to adapt to the tight timeframes not typically synonymous in the construction industry.
