Didier’s Elfin Oak seat by furniture designer, Ross Didier reveals the natural beauty and character of end grain.
The Elfin Oak seat is fabricated in solid American white oak in the shape of a wine barrel, revealing an organic, sculpted form. The seat is melded from a convex to a concave curve as a seamless, single gesture. The solid block-joined top surface has been carved and dished into a comfortable seat or table, revealing the beautiful character of end grain.
The Elfin Oak seat provides the simplicity of a natural product, and adds a layer of interest to any room. Weighing only 15kg, the Elfin Oak seat has the flexibility to be moved around a space easily – as a holding table or as a unique seat. The finished form is available in a variety of stain colours by request, predominantly natural clear oak and black.
