Beside encourages collaboration, with a responsive open design that supports multiple postures and a diversity of people in shared, team and large group environments

The science behind realising a successful task or meeting chair is a complex business.
Ergonomics are paramount, comfort is essential and adaptability is key. No two working environments are the same and no two users are identical.
Formway Design, charged with the job of creating a chair that encouraged collaboration and facilitated interaction between users, took a divergent approach to the design and development. Instead of hemming in the potential for usability with optional features and integrated gadgetry, they stripped the chair right back, in doing so extending its mixed-use capabilities.
The Beside has an open design for 270° sitting with a full, curved back allowing upper body movement and support for the lower back for upright, interactive postures.
Gently contoured seat with rounded corners lets you shift positions easily.
The unique hybrid chair design combines comfort and mobility with a buoyant, cantilevered form meeting a 4-leg construction with the option of castors, colours and upholstery detailing.
The flexing shell promotes comfort and movement, while the perforated back provides airflow.
