It’s a design match made in heaven – luxury furniture brand B&B Italia is once again to team up with French design legend Hermès.
June 29th, 2011
The 2 companies will work together to research, develop and manufacture new furniture pieces designed by Antonio Citterio and Enzo Mari under the artistic direction of Pierre-Alexis Dumas.
The seeds for the collaboration were sown when B&B Italia and Hermès joined forces to reissue the Jean-Michel Frank collection originally created in 1924, a classic example of minimalist furniture.

Re-issued Jean-Michel Frank for Hermes collection
B&B Italia and Hermès rediscovered the materials and techniques used in the original models to create a reissued collection that took the design world by storm earlier this year.
The new contemporary collection from the 2 companies was presented during 2011 Milan Design Week and will be sold exclusively at selected Hermès stores from next Autumn.
The collection will be a significant addition to B&B Italia’s history of collaboration with some of the world’s top designers. The Italian company will share the expertise of its Research & Development Centre with Hermès, coordinating product development, prototypes and managing the production process.
B&B Italia is available in Australia through Space Furniture.
