60 stunning new colours for Interiors and Exteriors from Porter’s Paints.

The Porter’s Paints 2012 colour range is a collection of inspirational new colours and some fresh variations to old favourites. The product of Porter’s Paints careful development and signature complex colour formulations, these are simply beautiful, very modern colours.

The inspiration for these colours has come from a number of sources. At Porter’s Paints we have an immense library of colours which have been developed over the past 30 years. Our team of colourists have chosen these colours from this vast library to complement our existing range. Rock Pigeon is an amazing modern neutral, one of those colours that looks as good inside or outside and works with contemporary and classic schemes.

Using the same colour in varying tones is a classic design tool. In this 2012 fan deck we are presenting a number of new colours in half, full, double and triple strength. We have also included double and triple strengths of a number of our most popular existing colours. For example, Triple Strength Rubble intensifies this shade to a deep but soft putty tone.
The new fan deck includes three colours from our 2011 Japanese colour collection which was developed for the Japanese market and inspired by the colours of kimono fabrics and heritage Japanese architecture. Futa-ai is a dark smokey indigo grey. Futa-ai means a combination of red and blue indigo dyes.

We are also delighted to announce that Brisbane based interior designer and international design blogger Anna Spiro of Black & Spiro and Absolutely Beautiful Things has designed a new range of wallpapers for our Designers for Porter’s range. These wallpapers will launch early this year and some of Anna’s signature colours are in this 2012 colour range. It will be no surprise to her readers that the vibrant Chilli Coral and Pink Ginger form part of the Anna Spiro for Porter’s range.
These 60 new colours can be made in Ultra Flat, Eggshell and Low Sheen Acrylics, Aqua Enamels, Stone Paint, Toughcote, Interno and Distemper. Most colours, but not all, can be made into Lime Wash, Boncote Cement Paint and Mineral Paint (see new 2012 fan deck for exact details).
Porter’s Paints is proudly entering its 30th year in 2012. All of our paint and wallpaper is still manufactured by hand here in Sydney.
