Recently, Allplastics have given the finishing touch to an apartment complex through adding eye-catching, LED diffusing opal acrylic bricks its exterior.
The Allplastics fabrication team has a reason to celebrate in late 2019. The team recently collaborated with Ceramic Façade Systems to custom make a range of opal acrylic “bricks” for a newly built apartment building.
Designed and then glued to the exterior of the building, the bricks help to diffuse the LED lights on the building’s façade, resulting in an inspired aesthetic result.
The apartment complex, The Place, is a mixed- use development of 91 residential dwellings and seven retail lots, with three levels of basement car parking. Located in the inner western Sydney suburb of Ashfield, The Place’s aesthetic blends in yet strikes a pose amongst the eclectic blend of historical buildings, lively eateries, and stunning urban art.
Designed by H3 Architecture, PGH bricks were used on the building in an exciting array of colours. However, opal acrylic achieved the desired effect for the lighting of the entrance wall of the building. The juxtaposition of the white LED with the gold nugget light attracted positive feedback from visitors, residence and observers.
