The moment you knew you wanted to be a designer
As kids, between the two of us, we’d alternately be redesigning family members homes, sketching out crazed installation ideas or turning our initials into logos, so I guess it was inevitable we’d end up as designers from the beginning.
Favourite international landmark/building
Rem Koolhaas’s ’Pants’ building (the China Central Television Headquarters) in Beijing. Really astounding to see in real life.
Dream project to work on (real or imaginary)
Some kind of large-scale outdoor sculpture, nestled by some amazing architecture, somewhere in the vicinity of Tokyo would be pretty dreamy.
Dream person/brand to collaborate with.
Comme des Garcon
Favourite decade of design
The 70’s.
The most unusual/interesting thing about the way you work
We live in different parts of the world (Craig in New York, Karl in London) but we collaborate daily, usually over Skype to create our work.
