ACNU welcomes urban designers, architects, planners, regulators and government leaders, engineers, developers, builders, financiers, educators and students to attend the New Urbanism Congress.

Pre-congress activities comprise of Charrette and master-class programs run from 25th to 27th April.

The theme for 2010 focuses on implementation “From Plans too Places”.

The Australian Council for New Urbanism Congress will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 28 to 30 April.

Sydney Airport Car Park Launch

On 10 July 2008, 188 guests celebrated the successful completion of the Sydney International Airport Car Park. Managing contractors Abigroup and architects DesignInc designed and constructed the eight level open deck car park and the cable stayed bridge that seamlessly connects into the Departures level of the terminal.

Dramatic Statement: John Wardle Architects’ Caulfield Library, Monash university

A Brutalist 1970s library building provides the bones for a Renaissance-like redevelopment at Monash University’s Caulfield campus. The outcome is a dynamic hub that serves a complexity of 21st-century needs. “It was about opening the library up to the central village green of the campus and bringing light into the building,” says John Wardle Architects’ Jasmin Williamson.
