Earlier this month, ThinkingWorks celebrated the launch of their new ThinkingQuietly range of acoustic-ready workplace solutions with an epic silent disco on Sydney’s waterfront.
On Thursday 15th June, Workplace heavyweights ThinkingWorks launched their latest collection – ThinkingQuietly – with a retro silent disco at Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal.
Kitted out with dance cages, 4-channel headphones, afro wigs and round-frame sunglasses all handed out by Sydney’s Dance Academy dancers, burger bar and canapés, plenty of beverages an of course the ThinkingQuietly range – the evening played host to over 250 architects, designers and specifiers in retro fancy dress from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s!
It was a super fun and rather clever way of opening the discussion around one of our industry’s hottest topics around commercial design – noise.
In a noisy world, ThinkingQuietly’s range of acoustic furniture offers peaceful respite. Consulting acoustic engineers as part of the design process, advanced acoustic materials were chosen to create a balanced sound environment, while a stylish retro design fits perfectly in the modern office. From smart workstations and work bays to the iconic “cone of silence”, ThinkingQuietly is a soothing antidote to office din.
Peace at last. Time to get thinking…
