See what happens when ownworld, Dowel Jones and polytec put minds and materials together in Collingwood for Saturday Indesign…
There’s a thrill that comes with seeing and experiencing something before anyone else. This especially rings true if you’re a designer or architect, given that you’re expected to be at the forefront for your clients (that’s kind of what they pay you for, right?)
Having just got the lowdown on what we can expect at Saturday Indesign from partners ownworld, Dowel Jones and polytec, the word is they’ll ensure you’re inspired and entertained.

“By the time we hit 22 June, we feel the A&D community will be well informed about our post-Milan finds and releases. It’s, therefore, time to turn to a local focus for a community event,” says ownworld’s Director Peter Beikmanis. “We realise Saturday’s are precious and know we need to give the A&D a good reason to skip their regular sleep-in or brunch to come and visit our space. The pressure’s therefore on us to showcase new designs in a creative environment with genuine hospitality. And that’s exactly what we plan on doing”, confirms Peter.

Visitors to ownworld’s showroom at Saturday Indesign will be able to see, touch and sit in the latest collections by local design darlings Dowel Jones who will present an expressive and playful installation in partnership with renowned surface manufacturer polytec, who is also our Transport Partner.
With the theme set as: “Open For Business”, this is Dowel Jones’s serious entry into the workplace sector with polytec by their side. Peter adds: “Let’s just say to expect a sense of nostalgia for anyone who’s worked in a pre-Y2K office”. The mind boggles.
