Tongue & Groove hosted a lively gathering to celebrate two new collections by Greg Natale, bringing together designers and industry peers.

Tongue & Groove’s Sydney showroom set the scene for a lively gathering of designers, architects and industry friends this month as two new collections by Greg Natale were unveiled. The event brought together Tongue & Groove, who collaborated with Natale on the new Bosco timber flooring collection, and Designer Rugs, who partnered with him on Cruda, his seventh rug collection for the brand. Showing both ranges side by side created a natural synergy of timber and textile, structure and softness.

Across the evening, guests moved through the space to experience how the two collections speak to each other materially and aesthetically. Curated music and thoughtful styling animated the showroom, which became a tactile landscape demonstrating how rugs and timber flooring can anchor and enrich an interior when designed with a shared sensibility.

A key moment of the night was the introduction of Cruda, a handknotted Tibetan wool collection inspired by the expressive forms of Brutalism and the clarity of modernist architecture. Each of the six designs explores strong geometry and tonal richness, giving the rugs a sculptural presence that guests were able to appreciate up close.

Displayed alongside Cruda was Bosco, the timber flooring collection Natale created with Tongue & Groove. Taking its name from the Italian word for “forest,” Bosco explores the texture and grain of timber through pattern and finish, offering designers a palette that feels both natural and highly refined. Seen together, Bosco and Cruda formed a compelling dialogue: the warmth and tactility of the rugs softening the architectural lines of the flooring, while the clean timber surfaces intensified the rugs’ textural depth.
