Architecture can reveal and define the personality of a city – for a city like Brisbane, how does architecture influence the way its citizens work, live and play? The Living in the City exhibition will explore nine new architectural projects in Brisbane currently under construction, alongside one project from each of sister cities the city has in the in the Asia Pacific region.

Projects in Abu Dhabi, Auckland, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Daejeon, Hyderabad, Kaohsiung, Kobe and Semarang are being showcased alongside nine Brisbane projects at the Museum of Brisbane.

The centrepiece of the exhibition is a serious of detailed architectural models of each project. Visitors will get to see some of Brisbane and APAC’s most exciting and innovative contemporary architectural ideas, from a range of immense residential towers and private homes, through to state-of-the-art sporting facilities.

Through the stories behind these projects, the the Living in the City exhibition aims to provide a snapshot of these cities, allowing visitors to gain insight into the similarities and differences of across the Asia-Pacific.

The event runs until March 22.
