An even bigger International Furniture Fair Singapore (IFFS) takes place this year March 9-12 with a host of new initiatives.
February 7th, 2012
The International Furniture Fair Singapore (IFFS) expanded in 2011 to include Deco Asia and The Hospitality Show. This year the three shows will occupy 70,000sqm of floor space in Halls 2 to 8 at the Singapore Expo.
This continues to be the core of the Fair, which also features D’Space (a curated space for innovative design), PLATFORM (featuring emerging local designers), the Furniture Design Awards and the traditional conference and seminar component.
But this year the Fair goes off-site as well with SingaPlural – the Singapore Furniture Design Week. This involves a series of seminars, exhibits, designers’ exchange forums and a design trail leading visitors to Singapore’s design precincts such as Ann Siang Hill and Haji Lane.
Design*Scape brings together a variety of companies, including those representing local designers. And Design-Larger-Than-Life is a competition with the theme ’Love, Think, Design, Green’ open to ten design schools in Singapore and judged by the public.
