To be held from 10 December 2015 to 3 April 2016, the Golden Pin Design Award 2015 Exhibition will showcase award-winning works that have been specifically designed for the huaren (Chinese-speaking) market.
December 29th, 2015
Visitors to the Golden Pin Design Award 2015 Exhibition, held at the Taiwan Design Museum in Taipei’s Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, will have the opportunity to come face-to-face with this year’s 565 Design Mark winning products and projects.
The exhibition has been designed as a multimedia experience, and will feature the most innovative huaren (Chinese-speaking) market products and projects from Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, and even Germany. Visitors can see winning products from all classifications, including home living, medical, electronic and hi-tech industries. Also of note: Gearlab’s AKIAK Greenland Paddle, one of the 57 finalists, has set up a special area complete with canoes to allow audiences to feel the experience of using their revolutionary paddle.
The Golden Pin Design Award repositioned itself in early 2014 to celebrate product, packaging, spatial, and visual communication design works already on the market that were created for and within the huaren (Chinese-speaking) communities. In 2015, the three-decades-old award attracted a record-setting 2,360 entries from 10 countries around the world, and expanded the Golden Pin Award Group to include the Golden Pin Concept Design Award, the Young Pin Design Award, and two Special Awards.
The Golden Pin Award group is executed by the Taiwan Design Center and organised by the Industrial Development Bureau.
