Many of us live in mobile, tech-equipped societies in an increasingly dense world. Against this milieu wrought with discontent, Microtopia offers possible solutions. By entering into the homes and worlds of architects, artists and problem-solvers who have invented new ways of living, the film suggests that the alternatives may lie in micro dwellings, downsized habitats and lifestyles that are off the grid.
Microtopia is one of 12 films being shown at A Design Film Festival, taking place in Singapore from 5 – 14 September 2014.
