Paola Navone’s creations are at once playful, whimsical, nomadic, and beautiful. The Milan-based designer travels all over the world, drawing inspiration from Asia to Africa, for the likes of the Landscape Panda collection for Cappellini, private residences in France, and COMO Point Yamu hotel in Phuket.

These projects and many more are on display in a new tome from Pointed Leaf Press. Titled Tham ma da: The Adventurous Interiors of Paola Navone, the book is a visual feast of Navone’s work on products, homes and hospitality spaces. Tham ma da, by the way, is Thai for ‘every day.’

To honour Chef James Won’s appointment as Gaggenau’s first Malaysian Culinary Partner, we asked the gastronomic luminaire about parallels between Gaggenau’s ethos and his own practice, his multidimensional vision of Modern Malaysian – and how his early experiences of KFC’s accessible, bold flavours influenced his concept of fine dining.
Within the intimate confines of compact living, where space is at a premium, efficiency is critical and dining out often trumps home cooking, Gaggenau’s 400 Series Culinary Drawer proves that limited space can, in fact, unlock unlimited culinary possibilities.
