Skidmore Owings & Merrill and SOM Asia Ltd have announced the appointment of Peter J. Kindel and Silas Chiow to their team.

Peter J. Kindel and Silas Chiow – highly accomplished, award-winning SOM Directors – have both joined Ame Engelhart, an architect and urban designer based in Hong Kong for 21 years, who will continue to lead the firm’s development efforts across southern Asia.
Kindel, a licensed architect, urban designer and landscape architect from SOM’s Chicago office, brings 22 years of experience in world-class urban design and planning.
Chiow, a licensed architect, urban planner and project manager, is a 20-year veteran in both Hong Kong and China. He will continue to lead client relations and business intelligence efforts for mainland China.
SOM Hong Kong has also recently relocated to a new office at 15/F Hong Kong Club Building on Chater Road, a landmark in the heart of the city.
