Singapore Design Week is back and bigger than ever with a people-orientated theme featuring diverse events, workshops, talks and tours.
September 25th, 2024
The annual festival that celebrates all things design in Singapore – Singapore Design Week (SDW) – returns from 26th September to 6th October, 2024. Spanning from the festival hub at the National Design Centre to design districts in Bras Basah, Bugis, Orchard, and various community locations, SDW 2024 will showcase Singapore’s unique creativity through a lens that extends its focus beyond the local design community. This year’s theme, ‘People of Design’, will celebrate everyday visionaries who significantly impact society through their design efforts. Beyond these individuals, hailing from diverse backgrounds and sharing common goal of improving lives, Singapore Design Week’s events will invite everyone to explore their own design potential, fostering innovative solutions for a more liveable and lovable Singapore. Join some of the highlighted events here and embark on your own design adventure.
EMERGE @ FIND
As part of the FIND Design Fair Asia, EMERGE @ FIND – curated by Suzy Annetta of Design Anthology and presented by DesignSingapore Council – returns in 2024 for its third edition. Showcasing over 50 designers from Southeast Asia, the theme ‘These Precious Things’ prompts exploration of value. It questions what is deemed valuable, how value is determined, and how it translates into new creations. Attendees can discover each designer’s unique interpretation of this thought-provoking theme through their innovative works.
Future Impact 2
Unveiled at Milan Design Week in April 2024, Future Impact 2 showcased a collection of newly commissioned works by seven innovative Singaporean designers, highlighting design’s transformative potential for a sustainable future. For this year’s homecoming showcase for Future Impact 2, designers will be presenting their pieces from Milan Design Week 2024, except for Tiffany Loy and Genevieve Ang, who will be showcasing new and updated versions of their works. The designers have either incorporated new technologies or challenged traditional production methods to create works that reduce environmental impact, rethink existing production processes, and improve functionality.

Set against the backdrop of Marina Central, Neufolk features a variety of programs, including a design pavilion, exhibitions, installations, talks, and tours. Creative Director Nathan Yong leads this endeavour as part of the Marina Design District during the event.
