As part of the 2011 Sydney Fringe Festival, Archrival have created an installation at Carriageworks inspired by its surroundings.
September 16th, 2011
Set within the haunting atmosphere of Carriageworks’ Bay 19 exhibition space, Eleventh Hour is a site-specific installation created for the Sydney Fringe Festival.
Taking its inspiration from Carriageworks’ history as a place where products were adapted transformed – a former railway workshop, munitions factory, and now an exhibition and gallery site – Eleventh Hour asks visitors to interact with the installation, transforming it throughout the duration of the festival.
The installation is the work of Claire McCaughan and Lucy Humphrey, practicing architects who moonlight as Archrival, a group dedicated to collaborative projects and community building through art and creativity.
Eleventh Hour is on display until Monday 19 September.
