Think Brick launched its 2011 Awards with a cocktail launch at Burswood Convention Centre in Perth.
March 18th, 2011
A host of esteemed industry professionals and designers were in attendance, enjoying the ’Yellow Brick Road’ theme – which included entertainment from the Wizard of Oz’s Tin Man, Cowardly Lion and Scarecrow.
“In 2011 the Think Brick Awards continue to evolve,” said Thick Brick Australia CEO Elizabeth McIntyre.
“By broadening the scope to include a new award – the Open Face, in which all architects and designers can participate – Think Brick hopes to achieve greater engagement among architects and students with the enticement of the architectural equivalent to the Emerald City, the Venice Biennale. For the first time, the About Face Award concepts are likely to be built given the smaller construction brief.”
Winners will be announced at the Think Brick Gala Award Dinner on 19 August in Melbourne.
