Talented young British designer Alexander Taylor’s audio inspired cabinets, available from Living Edge.
February 16th, 2012
Designed: In 2009 by Alexander Taylor
Made: Established & Sons
Alexander Taylor studied Furniture and Product Design at Nottingham Trent University and began his career with London based architects Procter:Rihl before deciding to realize his own designs and set up a studio in 2002. Since then, he has been one of Britain’s most talked about young designers.
For the Punch Credenza, Taylor used audio speakers as his inspiration, which is evident in the overall bold frame and shape and the repititious indentations. Beyond the aesthetic, these indentations also give strength and stability to the doors which are crafted with slim gauge metal aluminium.
