Planex presents Kjell Grant’s work in honorary exhibition
December 25th, 2007
Kjell Grant has been named as Indesign Magazine’s latest design luminary. The honour was celebrated in November with a VIP event at the Planex showroom in Melbourne where the designer was presented with an official luminary certificate.
In accordance with the great tribute, Planex will run an exhibition of the designer’s furniture, ceramics, textiles and paintings at the Planex showroom in Richmond until January 31st 2008.
An industrial designer, architect and artist, Kjell Grant has designed products for Cartier, Orrefors, Knoll and Rosenthal, with furniture commissions for illustrious Australian architects such as Robyn Boyd and Harry Seidler.
Kjell Grant is currently Adjunct Professor in the School of Architecture and Design at RMIT University and has inspired hundreds of young Australian designers through his ‘Melbourne Movement’ initiative.
