‘JAKS’ modular seating is at the forefront of fun furniture.
August 20th, 2009
Furniture can be fun, it can make you smile and it should always engage you. This is clearly what UK-based furniture designer Jonathan Coleman believes. At the forefront of fun furniture is the playfully named ‘JAKS’, the new offering from Coleman for Allermuir, available in Australia through Zenith Interiors.’¨
Due to its modular nature and distinctive, graphic cross shape, ‘JAKS’ is visually arresting and functional either alone or with several units interlocked. A group of ‘JAKS’ seats can be configured into tessellated patterns to suit any space.’¨
On its own, the innovative seat provides economic soft seating for four people, and when tessellated can provide bench-style seating for groups. The small side table from the ‘JAKS’ range fits neatly between the modular seating units, allowing for an even greater variety of configurations. ’¨’¨The ultimate in versatile furniture, change the configuration of the ‘JAKS’ seating modules and the nature of the entire space will be transformed.’¨
Mix and match upholstery fabrics and colours to create an aesthetic to suit any space – from bright, bold solids to textural patterns—you’re limited only by your imagination!’¨’¨‘JAKS’ is more than just a comfortable seat; it’s fun, interactive furniture at its best, and is the perfect solution for greeting lobby or other informal spaces.
