Briggs Veneers makes Interior Building Code Fire Compliance easy.
March 1st, 2010
The Briggs Group has been supplying the Australian architecture, design and building industry with reliable, high quality timber products for more than a century.
Always at the forefront of building standards and regulations, Briggs has developed a Building Code of Australia (BCA)-compliant solution for fire retardant veneered walls and ceilings.
Briggs Veneers would like to announce the release of their new FLAMEBLOCK Fire Solution. Simply specify TrueGrain or Briggs natural veneers laid up onto FLAMEBLOCK FRMDF, and Briggs fire certificates will guarantee the fire rating of the resultant veneered board.
With more than 180 veneers fully certified in this way to reach Fire Hazard Group 2, the FLAMEBLOCK Fire Solution gives you peace of mind in meeting BCA fire requirements for interior wall paneling, ceilings and lift interiors (BCA Specification C1.10a, Class 2 to Class 9 buildings).
FLAMEBLOCK FRMDF has a low (E1) formaldehyde level and is PEFC certified for sustainability, therefore under the new Green Building Council requirements, it can contribute to Greenstar Timber points.
FLAMEBLOCK FRMDF is available in sizes of 3,050mm x 1,220mm, and 2,440mm x 1,220mm, in 12mm and 18mm.
