Shaw Contract Group have appointed Gray Puksand to develop an innovative and collaborative ‘Design Lab’ in Melbourne.
May 1st, 2016
The Shaw Contract Group Design Lab is a collaborative showroom space where designers can experience all the flooring solutions from a global brand, but also a place to learn, connect and be inspired. All local designers will have access to this creative space – giving them the opportunity to work with architects and designers in Melbourne to continue developing commercial interiors that will attract employees, students, visitors, and customers.
Visitors to the Shaw Contract Group Design Lab will experience the latest design-leading collections, such as Vertical Layers, Noble Materials and The Park. Designers can view samples from a variety of Shaw Contract Group collections, and spend time in the designated co-working areas.
Collaborators in this project include Gray Puksand, FDC Construction & Fitout, Aston Consulting, and CBRE. The space is estimated to be completed early June 2016, with official launch events occurring in mid August.
Melbourne joins London, Shanghai, Beijing, New York, and other global design hubs where Shaw Contract Group’s presence is a catalyst for design excellence. The new space at 650 Church Street Richmond will be the head office for Shaw Contract Group Australia, showcasing the brand’s global footprint and local relevance.
Shaw Contract Group believe innovative design can change the way we live, work, think, and create. As a global design leader, Shaw Contract Group commercial flooring is engineered for beauty, durability, and cradletocradle sustainability.
