The Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane based architecture firm is delighted to announce that Mark Freeman has been appointed partner, and senior architects Kelly Wellington and Verdon Styles are new associates. The appointments were revealed at the firm’s annual party at Vue de Monde on 8 October 2015.
Mark joined Gray Puksand in 2001 and has been an associate since 2009. Mark was instrumental in developing the company’s education project portfolio, participating in the design of numerous innovative, contemporary education facilities.
“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Mark as a Partner at Gray Puksand,” said Partner Stephen Turner “Passionate about architecture, Mark’s warm personality and expertise has resulted in award-winning projects.”
Kelly Wellington is a design team leader who has worked at Gray Puksand over the last six years, as has Verdon Styles. Kelly spearheaded the $28m addition of five new levels on top of the 18 level Owen Dixon Chambers West, while Verdon is currently tackling a refurbishment of 51 levels at Bourke Place, 600 Bourke Street, Melbourne.
“These senior appointments at the Melbourne studio reflect the growth of our business. Our focus is on identifying and promoting people that bring experience, talent and leadership to their role,” remarked General Manager Lisa Maddocks “Mark, Kelly and Verdon are passionate contributors to Gray Puksand’s culture and our reputation of being leaders in modern, visionary design”
