The new Mirto collection, by Antonio Citterio for B&B Italia, marks the birth of a complete furnishing range that mirrors the instantly recognisable stable elegance of its designers, looking to be a new outdoor classic.
December 15th, 2014
The collection begins with two pieces, a daybed with manually reclinable backrest and a small folding armchair.
The first piece starts with a die-cast aluminium bridge-like frame: a sign where proportions and thicknesses count. Instead of wheels, the lounge has two small and very discreet rollers that allow it to move, placed on one of the two crosspieces.
The folding armchair revisits the classic shape of the director’s chair, with precise details. The mesh and metal parts are finished in two colours, white and tortora.
The complete collection, as it currently stands, includes the Mirto Table, Mirto Chaise, Mirto Chair, Mirto Side Table, and Mirto Chair with Arms.
The elegant self-coloured and contrasting solutions are based on two shades: white and tortora, both for the mesh with heat-welded profiles, and for metal parts. The series is completed with dining tables available in three sizes, with white of tortora painted aluminum or iroko wood top, and a convenient small metal table.
