Space launch two-month residency programme with Edra.
February 18th, 2010
Australian design is set to get a valuble boost thanks to the latest collaboration between Space Furniture and Italian design company Edra.
Announced late last week, Space Furniture is offering talented designers the possibility to apply for a two-month stint at the Edra Headquarters, near Pisa, followed by a period in the showroom in Milan.
Under the guidance of Edra’s Art Director Massimo Morozzi, the successful applicant will have the possibility to be mentored by one of the leading design thinkers of today.
The initiative, in collaboration with the Australian Design Unit and the Springboard Project, aims to nurture the relationship between Australian designer and European manufacturers.
Entries close Friday 4 June. Shortlist will be announced Monday 21 June. Finalists will present to a panel of judges, including Morozzi, on Thursday 22 July.
The eight-week residency will take place over September and October 2010.
