Stepping into Singapore: Humanscale HQ marks APAC expansion

Humanscale, designer and manufacturer of high-performance workplace products, has opened a new showroom in Singapore, serving as the company’s Asia Pacific (APAC) Headquarters. Situated in one of the city’s most distinguished creative districts – home to leading architecture studios, interior design firms and furniture showrooms – the 3,000-square-foot space marks a significant milestone in Humanscale’s continued investment in the Asia Pacific and international markets. Conveniently positioned opposite Outram Park MRT Station, the showroom is easily accessible to visitors and clients alike.

Based within a heritage shophouse, these two- to three-storey terraced buildings – constructed between the 1840s and 1960s – are known for their narrow façades, distinctive architecture and sheltered ‘five-foot’ pedestrian walkways. The showroom is designed to integrate the beautiful traditional façade with a sleek interior that takes visitors and clients on a journey through Humanscale’s award-winning ergonomic designs.

Humanscale’s new space incorporates two shophouses, creating a generous ground-floor layout that blends modern functionality with the historic character of the building. The showroom features two air wells that fill the space with natural light, a stained-glass frontage with traditional windows and expansive rectangular windows that provide a welcoming street presence.

“Singapore is a vital hub for design, innovation and business in Asia,” says Joe Tse, APAC Senior Managing Director at Humanscale. “Establishing our APAC Headquarters here allows us to strengthen relationships with clients, project managers, architects and designers across the region, while providing a space that embodies Humanscale’s commitment to performance, sustainability and timeless design.”

The new showroom aims to display work environments of beauty, comfort and sustainability. The space features a selection of our task and meeting collection chairs including Humanscale’s iconic Freedom, World, Liberty, Summa and Path chairs, alongside six workstations that demonstrate the brand’s full range of high-performance solutions. Additional products on display include the Monitor Arm series and eFloat collaborative tables, supported by integrated accessories.

Visitors can also experience Humanscale’s task lighting, docking stations, occasional seating and textile applications that complement the brand’s ergonomic seating. The space is designed to emulate real working environments – offering flexible areas for collaboration and focused work, as well as quiet, soundproof zones for private meetings.

A lounge area and café serve as hubs for social interaction and events, allowing guests to experience Humanscale products in a relaxed, lived-in setting featuring the Sedeo stool and Trea chair. An island bar and textile wall provide dedicated zones for product demonstrations and guest engagement.

Additionally, the new showroom offers a dedicated workspace for the Humanscale Singapore team and supports sales managers from across Southeast Asia.

“Our new Singapore showroom is more than a physical space – it’s a reflection of how we work and collaborate as a global brand,” says Tse. “By bringing together our regional teams, partners and clients under one roof, we’re investing in deeper relationships and reaffirming our long-term commitment to the Asia Pacific market.”

The Humanscale Singapore showroom is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, by appointment only. Visitors are encouraged to schedule appointments through the Humanscale website.
