The Bjhon washbasins take sanitary ware to the verge of sculpture.
January 7th, 2013
Italian architect and industrial designer Angelo Mangiarotti (1921–2012) produced some highly original forms in his time. His clever studies of form were combined with cutting-edge production processes and materials, and an ethical approach.
Agape’s Bjhon washbasins are the fruit of an idea conceived by Mangiarotti in 1970. Calling to mind classic garden planters and verging on sculpture, Bjhon features a truncated conical column and two different basin shapes. A central waste pipe is set in the column.
Bjhon is available in marble or Cristalplant – an Italian solid surface composed of mineral extenders with polyester and acrylic polymers.
The basins can also be used without the column. They can be set on Agape’s Flat XL and Evoluzione countertops.
Bjhon is available in Singapore from VolumeFive.
