Feeling overwhelmed at Milan Design Week 2018? Take five inside Transitions by Panasonic Design and breathe “the purest air in all of Milan”.
April 17th, 2018
Panasonic is celebrating its centennial year with a grand installation and a series of talks at Milan Design Week 2018. At the heart of it is an immersive art installation designed in collaboration with De Brera Museum, which houses one of the foremost collections of art by Italian painters. The courtyard of the iconic museum now holds a giant ‘water-drop pavilion’ that contains the purest air in all of Milan.
Walk inside this ‘water-drop’ and get transported to a calmer realm with the purest air in the city, achieved using Panasonic’s latest air purification technology. Dreamily wander through an ultra-fine, dry and cool mist created using the brand’s green air conditioning technology. Adding to the relaxing experience are soothing sounds, lights, and visuals.
Titled Transitions by Panasonic Design, it explores the integral role of design in improving our physical environment and emotional wellbeing. For the 100-year-old Japanese multinational company, it marks a transition towards a new creative philosophy. Panasonic aims to design products, services, and experiences to address emotions, the environment, and overall wellbeing.
Apart from the installation itself, Panasonic will be hosting a series of panel discussions to explore the on-going impact of design and technology on our culture, living spaces, and communities at Milan Design Week 2018. The installation will be displayed at Pinacoteca di Brera, Via Brera, until 22 April. More Information
