We’re pumped, and you should be too! Saturday Indesign is just a week away, and the Indesign Media team has been working closely with all of our Exhibitors, Partners, Speakers and Ambassadors to line up the best Saturday Indesign yet for 12 October.

There are plenty of prizes to be won – S$10,000 worth in total – alongside the win that comes from rubbing shoulders with Singapore’s design crowd. This is your very last chance to enter the draw for our early registration prize. Register to attend before 11:59pm (Singapore time) on Friday 4 October, and attend on 12 October, and you could win an ergonomic ‘IN’ task chair from Wilkhahn worth S$1,300! Winner must be based in Singapore.

They have really pulled out all the stops this year, helping us to assemble a full, action-packed day of design immersion with workshops, activities, talks, competitions, installations, and the promise of good times! At the The Tan Boon Liat Building, 15 showrooms will be opening their doors and offering special installations, workshops and activities for Saturday Indesign. Look for the Saturday Indesign balloons outside participating showrooms.
A short free bus ride or a riverside-walk away at 72-13 Theatreworks (Mohamed Sultan Road), 10 brands will put on their best displays with collaboratively designed installations, talks and happy hours. Get to know all the exhibitors here.

The six Design Conversations panel discussions will give you access to thought leaders from Singapore’s workplace, retail, residential and hospitality sectors – and more. Seats have been filling fast for these free sessions, but there’ll be standing room available.
The workplace session ‘New Pathways To Wellness At Work’ will discuss how wellness has been targeted at two offices in Singapore’s new Paya Lebar Quarter development. The retail session ‘Today’s Retail Dynamics: Who’s Driving Consumer Experience’ will tap into the insights of retail design specialists and experience strategists to unearth how retail is shifting.
‘Innovative Strategies For HDB and Apartment Living’ will explore the path to fresh living environs. ‘Designpreneurship In A Challenging Market’ will bring together three early-to-mid career designers and architects who are innovating with their practice models and business approaches.
Our session ‘Tourist Or Global Citizen? Designing Hospitality In The Climate-Change Era’ will cut to the chase on what can designers and architects (not just operators) can do to create the conditions for conscious, low-impact hospitality experiences.
And finally, the Saturday Indesign Singapore Debate returns in 2019! The original debate team from 2017 is back on board, this time tackling the proposition that ‘Designers Are Lazy When It Comes To Sustainability’. We excpect nothing less than deep insight delivered with hilarity and good friendly jibes!
They’ll need to be on their toes, because our Saturday Indesign 2019 Debate Commentator is none other than impressive industry figure Sarah Ichioka – Director, Desire Lines, and Curator, International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam 2020.
