December 20th, 2007
On December 1, 2007, Zaha Hadid Architects held the much awaited grand opening for the Norpark Cable Railway.
The Zaha Hadid architects designed four stations for the scenic snow-train railway located in the mountains above Innsbruck in Austria.
The opening was an elaborate event to celebrate the stunning project. The event began with an international press conference in the Austria Trend Hotel followed by a local press conference hosted by the Mayor.
The official ceremony got underway by the early evening with speeches at the Loewenhaus station, in front of the Austria Trend Hotel, and the night finished with a bang as the Mayor officially opened the railway in a striking lights show.
