Anibou stocks new series of Frank Bauer’s Lichtbild light sculptures
January 11th, 2008
Frank Bauer doesn’t cease to amaze. HIs new ’Lichtbild’ light collection proves he just keeps finding new and more subtle ways of using his modular kit of parts – which he first designed in 1988.
The main elements in this kit are; stainless steel rods and joints, colour anodised aluminium mesh and tiny 5–10 watt low-voltage light tubes – merged with plenty of panache.
He’s been exhibited by the Power House and his work is held in museums such as the Victoria and Albert, the Bauhaus Archive, the National Gallery of Australia and in private collections around the world.
This new work is now on show at the Anibou showroom, Redfern, Sydney. Prices range from $8,000 – $20,000.
