Architectural practice Tony Owen Partners takes out Award for Harley Davidson project.

Tony Owen Partners’ work on Harley Davidson’s Australian Headquarters has been recognised at the CNBC Asia Pacific Property Awards.
The Lane Cove project, completed mid last year, took out the award in the Commercial Division. “It is very gratifying that Australian Architecture is recognised on a world stage with an award such as this,” says Tony Owen – Director at Tony Owen Partners.
“Young architects in Australia are at the forefront of new thinking in sustainable design and recent Australian architecture is amongst the most progressive in the world. “
The project makes reference to the classic motorcycle design, not through a literal interpretation of the bikes’ form but through an expression of their “elegance and aerodynamics” in the lines of the building.
“Harley Davidson was a unique opportunity for us to design a building that symbolised such a design icon,” Owen says.
The CNBC Asia Pacific Propety awards are a part of the International Property Awards, recognising the best real estate professionals (including Architecture) in the world.
