The Italian creative design competition calls for designers under the age of 35 to submit an original and unpublished chair design suitable for either residential or contract use.
The competition is open to International architects, designers and students attending faculties of Architecture or Design Institutes.
Originality, innovation and function are all taken into account by the panel of judges, comprised of influential representatives from the design industry.
The choice of materials should also take into account the requirements for mass production and make significant use of wood.
A first prize award of 3500 euros will go to the winning design.
The competition is promoted by Udine Chamber of Commerce and by the Italian Chair District, the home of the Italian chair industry.
