Australian retailer, Top3 by Design, have been awarded the top award at The Global Innovator Awards (the retail equivalent of the Oscars).
Top3 by Design have taken a unique approach to design retail – only selling the best three designs in each category.
Out of a total of 45 countries participating in the awards Top3 took out ‘Best Global Innovator’ as well as two others – ‘Best in Country’ and ‘Best Shop Window Design’. This is the first time since the awards began nine years ago that one retailer has taken out three awards.
“My heart stopped when we were announced,” says Managing Director, Terri Winter. “It is tough competition with some of the best retailers in the world competing.”
“I think this is global proof that design is leading inspiration in retailing,” she says.
The company was set some tough criteria including: A record of outstanding operations, depth of product offering, innovation in business practices and visual merchandising, in-store promotions and quality of training and customer service.
