Morris Selvatico’s design for chocolatemaker Oliver Brown’s new store is a mix of bold colours and rustic details.
May 18th, 2011
Westfield Chatswood’s refurbished food precinct provides an ideal home for Oliver Brown’s second store.
In order to capture the essence of the authentic and timeless qualities inherent to the art of chocolate-making, interior design firm Morris Selvatico opted to reflect a vintage feel in the store’s design, reflected in the branding and packaging as well as the interior.
A balance of bold patterns, aged timbers, handcrafted chocolates and an inviting ambience sets this café concept apart from its neighbouring competition and gives Oliver Brown its design point of difference.
Rustic terracotta flooring and recycled spotted gum timber reside alongside a bold wallpaper graphic, whose geometric forms relate directly to the very roots of the word ’chocolate’ and its Aztec heritage.
