Paul Townsin has won the Barrisol Lumiere Design Competition for his ‘Halo’ pendant light design.
May 23rd, 2011
South Australian designer Paul Townsin has taken out the top honour in the Barrisol Lumiere Design Competition for his Halo Lumiere.
Beautiful and simple, Halo makes great use of the qualities of Barrisol products, with the translucent fabric stretched over 16 acrylic fins around an MDF central frame.
The design combines LED lighting in cool or warm white according to customers’ preference. An oversized bulb in the centre provides a focal point.
The Lumiere is suspended via a 2mm stainless steel wire, adjustable to suit any space.
It is available in 2 finishes – translucent white and gloss red, reminiscent of a Chinese lantern.
