Ten of Australia’s best emerging young artists selected for showcase during Art Melbourne

Where to find Australia’s next Brett Whiteley. Renault New Generation Art is one of the most popular features at the annual Art Melbourne festival.
The specially selected artists featured in Renault are all under 45 years of age, or are in the first five years of professional arts practice- and this year’s talent is more dynamic than ever before.
Young artists this year include Emma De Clario, Peter Drew, Toby Richardson, Jumaadi, Dylan Martorell, Terry Taylor, Collen Ahem, Mason Kimber and Aaron Kinnane (pictured above).
This promising group of artists will present a range of works including installations, fine photographic arts, paintings and works on paper in a cutting edge exhibition.
The public are given the chance to vote on the people’s choice award with the winning artists receiving $5000 from Renault.
The Weekend Australian Art Melbourne 08 is open from the 18th – 20th April at the Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton.
