Teknion Marketplace launch in KL

Guests gather in Kuala Lumpur for Teknion’s latest desking systems

Teknion Marketplace launch in KL

March 5th, 2008

Swedish-born Canadian designer, Carl Magnusson and Canadian designer Steve Verbeek were some of the special guests who gathered in KL on 29 February 2008 for the launch of the two new systems for Teknion.

The ‘Marketplace’ freestanding desking system, designed by Magnusson, has the longest span in the industry of 6 metres supported by one long truss bolted to a panel at either end. This means no legs to get in the way of collaborative working arrangements.

‘Marketplace’ is also unique in that it can be assembled by 2 people in under 2 hours and only has a maximum of 12 parts – the simplest version only has 6 components. Each table is also separately height adjustable.

A full article on Indesign’s trip to KL for the launch and interview with the designers will be published in the August issue of Indesign.

‘Marketplace’ is available in Australia through GGI Office Systems.
