Angela Ferguson has won the National Association of Women In Construction’s (NAWIC’s) CBRE Businesswoman of the Year Award.
This award recognizes the achievements of a woman who is a director, owner, partner or senior manager of an organization directly involved with the construction industry.
Angela is one of two directors and owners of futurespace. She was selected for her business acumen, demonstrated leadership and influence in the industry and her innovative approach to business management.
futurespace is a successful interior design and architectural studio with offices in Sydney and Melbourne. The business is driven by an interest in and commitment to the future of the workplace and the company name was generated from that commitment. futurespace works with C-suite executives from a range of organizations who recognize that the workplace is an important component of the business strategy. futurespace works with clients to deliberately influence the workplace design in order to achieve specific business and cultural objectives.
A list of futurespace’s recent and current clients includes:
In the last three years and despite difficult economic times futurespace (as a small/medium enterprise) has undertaken $9million in fees – this equates to more than 200,000m2 of fitout and construction across workplace, child care, residential, education and refurbishment projects. Approximately 80% of futurespace’s business is via repeat clients and this is a testament to both the talent of the team and the leadership of the directors.
Angela is an ambassador for the positive impact that good design can have on corporate communities and for women working within the broad parameters of the construction industry.
