Soak up global trends coming out of the design fairs of Paris, Milan, London and Tokyo, and discover who and what drives those trends. Understand designers’ sources of inspiration, the connection to the art world and how the industry has evolved. Explore the ’concept to reality’ process that brings products from designer to consumer in the new retail landscape. Grasp how design is becoming a collaborative play and a way of thinking and living, with the scoop on the people, projects and products leading the space, particularly in Australia. Peek into the future and preview how the way we will work and play will impact the design world.
Join guest speakers Paul McGillick, Editor in Chief of Indesign and Habitus magazines, and Melissa Laird, Lecturer at the Whitehouse Institute of Design for this kick-off to the cool new Design Lovers Series.
