The famous campaign to encourage the replacement of the aging Australian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale was reactivated this year, with a high profile competition – The Venice Biennale New Australian Pavilion: Di Stasio Ideas.
The shortlist and winners are currently being exhibited at the Heide Museum of Modern Art, Melbourne, until 3 August, and the winner will be announced on July 28th.
The competition received 446 registrations of interest from 51 countries and the winner will fly to the 2008 Architectural Biennale in Venice, which opens on September 11th.
