You’ve worked hard. Now it’s time to showcase what you’ve accomplished to the world at the international A’ Design Award and Competition.
February 6th, 2017
Our industry, and indeed our world, is flooded with millions of products and designs each year. We as the media write about many of them, and there are competitions around the world that look to give recognition to the best of them.
When it comes to competitions, the A’ Design Award and Competition offers one of the most diverse categories, in line with its aim of putting the best out there onto the world stage.
What makes this award unique is that it’s based on deep research. The award started as a Ph.D. thesis at Italy’s Politecnico di Milano on the topic of design awards and competitions, and was subsequently built to give impactful recognition to award-winning designs following an analysis of over 1,000 design awards and competitions, as well as ethnographic research and a survey of over 500 designers and brands who participate in these programmes.
The A’ Design Award and Competition aims to provide a fair, ethical and competitive platform for companies, designers and innovators from all design fields to compete on, and to present themselves to buyers, publishers and the industry at large.
Participants can choose from an exceedingly wide range of categories, including Architecture, Building and Structure Design; Interior Space and Exhibition Design; Furniture, Decorative Items and Homeware Design; Lighting Products and Lighting Projects Design; Packaging Design; Graphics and Visual Communication Design and much more (further design award categories available here).
Winners will receive many benefits, including an extensive PR campaign, inclusion in the yearbook, an award trophy, a competition winner’s logo, invitation to a networking gala dinner, participation in an exhibition, world design ranking, opportunities to sell one’s designs and services, jury feedback, business network opportunities across various platforms, marketing and consultancy services, and more.
The awards will be judged by 83 members of an international jury made up of scholars, design professionals and media, and will follow a peer-review process with anonymous voting and evaluation of entries.
Registration is now open. Click here for more information on the A’ Design Award and Competition, and submit your entries here.
