We love our Sponsors and Partners. They’re helping us make Saturday Indesign a day to remember. Show them your love on 12 October!
October 8th, 2019

Flokk Asia’s stand at the Curated Space, 72-13 Mohamed Sultan Road will also be a journey into Flokk’s sustainable DNA courtesy of an installation inspired by the brand’s presentation at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2019. The installation will give visitors a sense of the thoughts and challenges faced by designers when it comes to executing sustainable furniture design. It’s the ideal setting for our last two Design Conversations of the day, which will zero in on sustainability. Be sure to join Flokk Asia’s Instagram contest on Saturday and you could win a HÅG Capisco Copper Limited Edition task chair! Details here.

The limited-edition Saturday Indesign tote bag features one of the most evocative images ever produced by Louis Poulsen: a cross section of the innovative anti-glare three-shade system designed by Poul Henningsen. It was the precursor to his classic PH 5 lamp – the backbone of Louis Poulsen’s catalogue and the ultimate example of the brands mastery of design to shape light. In recognition of its significance, our tote bags ask: ‘Design is _____.’ Fill in the blank with a marker and tell the design community what design means to you.

On Saturday 12 October, keep a look out for School of Design students from our Event Partner Temasek Polytechnic, who will be your guides all day. They’ll be assisting with registrations, coordination and ushering to ensure you don’t miss out on all the exciting activities! For many of the Temasek Poly students, this will be their first foray into playing a part in a major design event. We hope they’ll get as much out of the experience as you do. So when you meet them, do smile and thank them for making your Saturday Indesign a smooth one!

With our Saturday Indesign Debate focusing on sustainability this year, who better to provide the trophy for the winning team than MINIWIZ? This circular economy RD&D (Research, Design & Development) company turns waste materials into architecture, interiors, furniture, products and more. Its Polli-Ber Brick is a beautiful modular interlocking brick made with recycled plastic and agricultural waste. Thanks to Saturday Indesign Ambassador Tan Szue Hann (Managing Director of MINIWIZ Singapore) for providing a Polli-Ber Brick as our trophy. We don’t think he’ll mind if his Debate team wins!

Beat the heat with an Italian soft drink made from organic citrus fruits and ginger, or a coffee-infused tonic water courtesy of Jupiter 57 and Verum! These refreshing drinks will be available free for Saturday Indesign attendees at the Curated Space, 72-13 Mohamed Sultan Road.
