The APAC design community came together at the Radisson Blu Cologne for our Orgatec get together – the perfect backdrop for swapping stories from the trade fair.
October 26th, 2018
Right across the road from the Koelnmesse, the enormous fairground that the commercial furniture trade fair Orgatec takes over every second year, Indesign welcomed a contingent of Asia Pacific designers and architects who made their way over to Cologne to learn the latest insights into the evolving taxonomy of commercial design.
The night was a welcome break from the cooler climes, and the plush bar of the Radisson Blu played host to flowing drinks and a convivial atmosphere. A crowd of over 100 people gathered to mingle, share stories and toast to a successful Orgatec 2018.
From suppliers and brands to architects and designers of all disciplines, it was a night to kick back and indulge in some downtime halfway through Orgatec’s biggest fair to date. Guests included Monica Pedrali, Gavin Harris, Keith Melbourne, Adam Cornish, Bonnie and Anton Schiavello, Aidan and Jo Mawhinney of Living Edge, Richard Munao and Ravi Shankar from Nau (who are exhibiting this year), David Granger from Bang Design, Tony Sutton of Woven Image, Mark and Caron from Ke-Zu, Andrew Green and Mike Brisbane from Flokk, team Zenith, Dean Kusch from ThinkingWorks, Jo and Holly from District, Alistair, Adrian and Jason from Wilkhahn, Sam from Walter Knoll, Jason Bird from Luxxbox, John McClure from Gunnersens, the Peter’s from ownworld, plus many more, including guests from Singapore, New Zealand, Hong Kong and the Netherlands.
