For local furniture retailer Air Division, the journey to success is one based on quality products that stand the test of time.
July 29th, 2015
Given Singapore’s small and competitive furniture retail market, it hardly comes as a surprise that only a few truly enterprising local retailers have managed to secure a successful business here. And even fewer have gone on to gain recognition for their designs in the international arena.
Established 15 years ago, lifestyle furniture retailer Air Division can be seen as a true pioneer within this space. The company was one of the first here to produce their own designs for retailing, and many of their products have since gone on to win awards, both in Singapore and internationally, including the prestigious Red Dot Design Award and IF Design Award.
Air Division’s success stems from their exacting eye for detail, and their utilisation of intelligent manufacturing techniques in the production of high quality designs that stand the test of time. To ensure greater longevity of their designs for example, the wood used to construct their furniture pieces is kiln dried to reduce wood movement.
The company also uses wood from sustainable sources, while environmentally friendly water based lacquer are chosen over solvent based lacquer.
